Help for a hyper-sexualised society

desirefm

My friend Nick has just developed a blog designed for Christians who want to think through some of the issues we face as a result of the hyper-sexualisation of society.  Yes not exactly a subject you would imagine being discussed during a Sunday morning service, yet vital in a day and age when suggestive images assault our senses from every conceivable media outlet.   Throughout history, the church has struggled with its mandate to be ‘in the world’ but not ‘of the world’, yet too often we have adopted a ghetto mentality, and nowhere is this more true than in the area of sex and sexuality.

Here’s a resource which does exactly what it says on the tin, tackling ‘taboo’ issues head-on – like pornography, homosexuality, masturbation, adultery and shame  - in a street-cred way, yet providing sound thinking from a Christian perspective.  DESIREFM is well worth a visit.

Quality Videos for Central Asians

kairos
The past decade has seen an explosion of media across the world – video, audio cassettes, CDs, satellite TV, computer media and the Internet. This has thrown open the doors for Christian witness as never before. Throughout this period, I’ve been privileged to be involved as a trustee of Kairos Media which works with national Christians to exploit these openings.

Kairos has now launched a web site to enable people to download videos directly in a number of different languages:  Click here to find out more or play sample below
